That CCP Rejects Foreign Aid Just Indicates Its Inhumanity

The Sichuan earthquake on May 12, 2008 caused great concern around the world. Upon the Wenchuan-epicentered 8.0 magnitude quake hit, many countries immediately offered support like sending professional personnel. But the Chinese Communist Party regime has turned down their request on the pretext of impassable roads. In this case, the China Interim Government strongly condemns the Communist regime's inhuman act disallowing timely foreign aid now that it is incapable of organizing efficient and effective rescue, and makes statement as follows:

1. At the critical movement with human life waiting for the utmost care, weather the rescue is needed should be decided by the stricken people, and their desperation and helplessness and the scenes of parting for ever should be taken into first-of-all consideration. Thus, CCP has no right to represent anybody of the stricken persons.

2. CCP's reason for rejecting international rescue staff sounds absolutely absurd. It can only has two purposes for the decline on the pretext for impassable roads: first, CCP wants to conceal the death toll for fear of the international community knowing the real figure of deaths; second, CCP has been claiming earthquake unpredictable due to too many uncertain factors, but this lie will be laid bare as soon as the aid workers arrive at the scenes. Will the rescue be still needed after the roads are repaired? That is the matter of post-disaster reconstruction.

3. The difficulty of performing rescue in an earthquake is to find the trapped personnel, so the very specialized technology and equipment are required. However, CCP does not have them or even could not clearly give answer to possibility of earthquake forecast. Merely for its own benefit, CCP rejected the assistance offered by international disaster relief staff at a press conference, acting zanily in cold blood.

4. Letting 72-hour window pass in artificialness and thus causing climbing death toll is the manifest of what inhumane CCP is like in treating human lives as worthless. Located in a seismic belt alike, Taiwan and Japan are all genuinely professional in earthquake disaster relief. After the earthquake struck in Sichuan, their rescue workers carrying professional equipment were on call at the airports the first time. On the contrast, CCP's military troops without experience in quake relief conducted rescue with bare hands at extremely low efficiency. The fact has also proven that the number of rescued victims within 72-hour window was limited, and there even were such nonprofessional accidents that the victim with a breath left were taken lives by lift trucks during the cleanup of the shambles.

5. In front of so immense a disaster, the incorrigible CCP does not forget to host a political show. Upon the quake hit, it lost no time to delete all documents of “refute the rumors” and related forecast information released before the quake, and has until now been clamping down on the disaster information through network in an attempt to reduce the real reports on the quake disaster. In addition, the shameless CCP has gone so far to undisguisedly require its propagandistic machine at all levels to "enhance political consciousness” and do “positive reporting”.

On the release of this statement, according to the source update, under the pressure of the international community, CCP has agreed the entry of Japan’s rescue team. But the 72-hour window has been missed and the most precious time for overseas professionals to play a role has gone, leaving lots of lives they could've saved as the cost of CCP's political show. CIG appeals the international community to continue the pressure on CCP to allow more foreign professional support to rescue lives under the rubbles as more as possible. Meanwhile, CIG half-masts its flag to condole the souls of the victims.

The crew of CIG expresses the highest respect for the citizens and all ranks in the frontline of quake mitigation, who are sparkling the glory of humanity. At the same time we are grateful for all what great number of netizens have timely fed back regarding the disaster-stricken area, and hope them to deliver the latest information to the international society.
