CIG's Announcement on Diaoyu Island & China's East Sea Oil Field

--Calling on Chinese servicemen & masses to strongly condemn & protest against the humiliating betrayal committed by CCP

1.    China Interim Government (CIG) shall not honor any humiliating treaties made by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) during the fifty plus years with concessions to China’s sovereignty. During its over-half-a-century reign of the mainland China, CCP abuses the state power under its control to pursue political gains for its own party by acknowledging or signing treaties that have conceded China’s sovereignty to over three million square kilometers territory to surrounding countries, which CIG shall not honor entirely. That CCP has given away China’s soil is because its party's interest is taken precedence of China's interest. CCP will sell China’s interest to protect its own interest under any circumstances. When it comes to Diaoyu Island, CCP’s media says that Diaoyu Island belongs to Japan’s territorial waters while Taiwan government upholds its sovereignty for Diaoyu Island, which shows that CCP regime, the self-proclaimed government representing people’s interest, is so weak and incompetent in absolute  disregard of China’s sovereignty. On the contrary, the Republic of China (Taiwan) with less military power is truly protecting China’s sovereignty.

2.    The decision to “Shelve the sovereignty and develop (the oil field) jointly”  made by CCP on development of oil field in the East China Sea had been set forth and promoted by the pro-Japan elements inside the CCP regime. In the process of reform and opening up in China, the Japanese Consortia have trained many pro-Japan officials to various degrees inside CCP. These CCP officials act like prime minister Qin Hui and his ilk of South Song Dynasty, as whenever the Chinese public protests against Japan, they will jump out to speak on behalf of Japan. This fully demonstrates that CCP’s officials are so corrupted that they disregard the state interest to such horrifying degrees. Meantime, when there are conflicts between China and Japan, CCP's Ministry of Foreign Affairs says perfunctorily that ‘(what Japanese side does) will harm Chinese people’s feelings”, which is ineffectively unrespectable and mere diplomatic rhetoric without taking any substantive attitude and action. In regards to the sovereignty of the oil field in the East China Sea, CCP has made a huge concession, which is not strategic , but betrayal in nature.

CCP has taken the initiative to relinquish the provisions beneficial to China in “The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)” ,  conceding to Japan China’s sovereignty over hundreds of thousands of kilometers of continental shelf with its natural resources in the sea and in the sea bed. When exclusive economic zones (EEZs) overlay continental shelf, it is advantageous to apply the rule defined by continental shelf.

“The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)” Article 76 states: The continental shelf of a coastal State comprises the seabed and subsoil of the submarine areas that extend beyond its territorial sea throughout the natural prolongation of its land territory to the outer edge of the continental margin.”

“The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)” Article 76,  Paragraph 5 specially states:

      i.        Continental shelf shall not exceed 350 nautical miles from the baselines from which the breadth of the territorial sea is measured

     ii.        Continental shelf shall not exceed 100 nautical miles from the 2,500 metre isobath, which is a line connecting the depth of 2,500 metres.

Based on this, the border line between China and Japan in the East China Sea should be insisted as along the uttermost east side of the continental shelf,  approaching the deep trench near Okinawaken,  and it should not be along the midline of the East China Sea as Japan insists.

“The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)” Article 77 defines the ‘Rights of the coastal State over the continental shelf’.  Paragraph 1 of Article 77 states that “The coastal State exercises over the continental shelf sovereign rights for the purpose of exploring it and exploiting its natural resources.”

Paragraph 2 of Article 77 states that “The rights referred to in paragraph 1 are exclusive in the sense that if the coastal State does not explore the continental shelf or exploit its natural resources, no one may undertake these activities without the express consent of the coastal State.” What is more shameful is that CCP allows Japan’s investment shares in the exclusive development of the Chunxiao Oil Field by China, and the oil and gas will be distributed according to the proportion of investment shares.

Sovereignty should never be shelved. If a country’s sovereignty can be shelved, it will lose its face and can no longer set foot in the international communities. The fact that CCP has shelved China’s sovereignty over the East China Sea to Japan in exchange for economic development and “harmony” with Japan is a shameless betrayal of China with no dignity whatsoever. It has set a very bad precedence to sell China’s sovereignty for profit. CCP is also considering taking the same measure for Nansha Islands of China (Spratly Islands).

CCP’s concession to Japan affects not only the oil field of the East China Sea, but more seriously, it also possibly puts China in a disadvantageous position about delimiting the border line for the East China Sea, affecting the sovereignty of Diaoyu Island.

3.    CIG calls on military soldiers to defect from CCP’s Schutzstaffel-style army, and join the Defense Forces of the State and support the Interim Government representing future China. Due to CCP’s corruption, incompetency and weakness, the Chinese military soldiers have been shamed with the massacres of students, civilians, Tibetans, etc for a long time. CIG has setup a forum: “Defect from CCP’s Schutzstaffel-style army and join the Defense Forces of the State”. Besides, in light of the incident of Diaoyu Island, China interim Government calls on the Chinese servicemen to redirect the 2,000 missals pointing to Taiwan to target Diaoyu Island instead, to demonstrate your sacred and strong determination to protect China’s sovereignty and help the Republic of China in protect China’s sovereignty as well.

4.    CIG calls on the patriotic masses to take action and condemn CCP’s betrayal. The weakness as shown in CCP’s position at the oil field of the East China Sea and Diaoyu Island is a betrayal of China’s sovereignty. Everybody has the responsibility for the rise and fall of the country. Every true patriot must take action quickly to condemn CCP’s betrayal and put pressure on the CCP regime.
